Unique Is A Bliss

Tronoh, PERAK, 21 August 2008 - Some of you might think that being unique is something that is weird in the society. You might tend to stay in your own groups, you might treat someone who is unique as a threat to yourself and you might think a unique person is a psycho.

Me?

I myself know that I'm unique and I'm proud to be one!

I have to expose some facts that I'm unique

Unique Facts About TPK

1. I'm among 75,000 in Malaysia who suffered autism and I think I'm the only UTPian who once suffered autism when I was 3 years old and not fully recovered eventhough 8 years of treatment due to the fact that autism is untreatable.

2. Apparently, I'm single handed use 4 names of my schoolmates to clean sweep an online contest organized by Milo in 2004. The fact is, they ask me for help so I use my ability of a sharpshooter to win the contest. A clean sweep from 2nd place to 5th place (There are only 5 prizes actually)

3. I have no best friends as I treat all my friends as the same level. The reason is I mingle with every people, but it depends on how people treat me as well.

4. My actions are unpredictable as I can pull out a surprise in the last minutes of a certain period. What happened during English in Camp 2005 and UTP Sports Team is a proof that I'm not a pushover

5. I dare to take risks alone. I have travelled alone a lot of times, including riding a bike from UTP to KL alone in 2006, driving a car from UTP to Penang this year at 4.00 a.m. What else I can tell about my crazy act?

I think 5 unique facts about how I am is already enough to prove that I am proud to be unique than others. Besides that, who cares when a psycho writes his thought? xD

If you think that you're dysfunctional, I'm more than you are
If you think that you're a scandalous, I've done more than you do
If you think that you're crazy, I'm crazier than you are
If you think that you're heartless, I'm more heartless than you are

People treat me as a threat? C'mon, tenang sudey! xD

WCG Malaysia 2008 - Changing Of The Guard

Tronoh, PERAK, 17 August 2008 - What a hectic weekend for me as I have to juggle my time for Merdeka PES Tournament and giving support for Nuffnangers for World Cyber Games Malaysia 2008 which was held in MidValley Convention Center.

I was supposed to join either FIFA or Need For Speed for WCG Malaysia 2008. Unfortunately, the class schedule screws my plan. Instead, I opted for Merdeka PES Tournament.

Cut it short. I only managed to spend about 3 hours there. As soon as I have qualified to Top 32 for Merdeka PES Tournament, I quickly hopped on LRT at Taman Jaya, later switching to KTM Komuter and all the way to MidValley.

As soon as I arrived, I met one of my bro's good buddy, Fadly who is among the top gamers for racing games. As I waited for the Nuffnang prize-giving ceremony, I make a round touring the gaming area. It looks like the event have less excitement compared to the kick-off itself. Don't know why, but I felt that things are not too organized.

Later, I saw someone familiar, hooking up with the Guitar Hero and I was surprised of her pawning skills on the game. Guess what? It's Melissa, my unimate at UTP! After that, there was a call-up for Guitar Hero III competition. I quickly joined the competition with Fadly and Melissa followed suit. Another guess what? I would be playing alongside Ash Nair, one of Malaysian Idol finalist!

Thanks to the faulty green button and the wrong selection of song which is too short (I played Reptilia from The Strokes), I was out of contention in less than a blink.

It's ok, I am having a lot of fun there. As soon after the prize giving is concluded, I have to rush back to Amcorp Mall as Top 32 is just around the corner. Anyway, I have a lot of fun with the tournaments around here. Unfortunately, since I forgot to bring the camera, no shooting pics for yesterday.... T_T

However, thanks to Kah Ee, I managed to get a pic from the Guitar Hero prize giving. Thanks bro!

HOWEVER, for the sake of being a GAMER myself, I make another turn back to WCG today for the final day... This time, I bring along my faithful Exilim Z-4 camera which only waits for the time to break down or faulty?

As I arrived at the Convention Center, most games has concluded with a lot of new champions dethroning the defending champions excluding one survived the onslaught, signalling the changing of the guard for Team Malaysia to Cologne, Germany on this November. So much for the 'reformasi', isn't it? xD

Here's the results for the WCG, courtesy of SpotGamers

Where are the defending champs?

Gamble At A Stake - Part 1

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 August 2008 - Wondering how I manage to get back to Kuala Lumpur while all bus tickets are sold out? (Thanks to my own ignorance of school and IPTA holidays)

3.40 p.m. 15 August 2008
Medan Gopeng, Ipoh

Saufiq: Adeh, macam mana ni. Tiket bas kat Seri Iskandar dah habis, kat Medan Gopeng pun habis. Keretapi lak paling awal kul 7. Aku malas nak balik lewat-lewat ni
TPK: Erm, ko nak gamble tak?
Saufiq: Gamble? Gamble macam mana tu?
TPK: Motor kau tu, kita bawak balik KL.
Saufiq: Gila kau... Aku pun tak confident motor aku leh sampai ke x..
TPK: Leave it to the expert... xD

"Leave it to the expert", sounds like sarcastic am I?

Swift decision being made as we made our way back to Kuala Lumpur, using Modenas Kriss (BFH 8022) departing from Ipoh at 4.00 p.m, driven by the 'expert' himself as Saufiq only have 'L' license to date

As I was thinking of relaxing while riding, Saufiq later told me that he should reach the KTM Commuter before 9.00 p.m, otherwise he will get stranded in Kuala Lumpur.

After that, there goes the speedo TPK

4.45 p.m - Reached Tapah R&R. Notified Dad about the surprise. He just laughed at me, expecting his son would do whatever it takes to return home

6.00 p.m - 20km away from the finishing point, the rear tyres got punctured and we have to spend about an hour and RM55.00, just to replace it..

7.30 p.m. - Finally reached home. But I'm still not tired!

Well, after this, I shall tell you what happens during the return. Tomorrow, my schedule is packed as I have to attend Merdeka PES Tournament and World Cyber Games as well. Cheers! xD

Paperme.Org : Episode 1

Tronoh, PERAK, 15 August 2008 - Well, as being told in post entitled Papa Me?, as soon as the team concluded the first meeting, I thought that these guys will only start the work after 2-3 days.

Apparently, I was wrong...

7 hours after the first meeting...

Pokjat: The Hardworking Head of Web Developers
TPK: The Creative but Lazy Team Leader

Pokjat: Boy, boleh tolong survey hosting-hosting ni x?
TPK: Gulp, cepat benor ko cari hosting-hosting ni
Pokjat: Kalau x cari hosting, bla bla bla yadda yadda yadda
TPK: Erm ok, when do you want my decision?
Pokjat: Sabtu ni boleh x?
TPK: .............

Seriously said, it looks like for the first time ever, I have to cope with their enthusiasm and speedness

The next day, another risk is taken. The team decided to buy the hosting as soon as possible. At first, the paperme guys were reluctant to accept, I play the gamble card, sponsoring RM 50 for the webhosting.

Yesterday night, the documentation team worked hard to give their best shot, and I have to camp for a night at their base, just to ensure the quality. In the end, I am the first who passed out, without noticing that they stayed up until 6 a.m just to ensure the top quality of the documentation

2.00 p.m, 14 August 2008

Here comes the big part, the evaluation by the reknowned Prof. Jubair. As planned, our team pass a copy of our documentation, one to the tutor (Mdm. Azwin), one to Prof Jubair and another one to the other group.

The outcome? It's the most weirdest ever outcome I've ever seen in any presentation I've conducted

Prof Jubair: The Hardworking Punctual Professor
TPK: The Shaken-Stricken Team Leader & Presenter

TPK: I would to explain about our system request?
Prof. Jubair: Asyraf, what do you mean by system request. Is it the company requested your team to develop software?
TPK: No Prof, it's our team who proposes, bla bla bla bla.....
Prof. Jubair: Asyraf, I am impressed with your team. Your team worked hard for this documentation
TPK: ...................

Imagine that I just started the presentation for about 2 minutes and he already said that my team impresses him a lot.

To make things funny, Sopek (the Project Manager) added some complimentary confession which make all of us laugh. But Prof. Jubair likes the high confidence that our team have

What a incredible way to kick off our project!

As I chatted with Mdm. Azwin, she told that our group makes the most remarkable progress compared to other teams. I already thought of bringing a plastic bag to cover my face because it's for sure that Prof. Jubair would brag about paperme...

So, since most of the guys are tired after coming back from stupid Oracle test (as said by Prof. Jubair), I was thinking about giving them a weekend rest before resuming the massive works.

After all, as Sopek said, they are the best team I ever had. I have to agree 200% with it... xD

GG Malaysians!

Tronoh, PERAK, 9 August 2008 - As for the time being, there are two Malaysian squads are currently abroad, carrying the pride of the nation.

1. Malaysia Olympics 2008 Team

The opening ceremony for Beijing 2008 has just concluded with Azizulhusni given the honour as the flagbearer for Malaysian. Notably, there are 33 athletes competing in various sports after qualifying by merit such as badminton, athletics, and others

Malaysia are desperate to get the first 'eva' gold medal since the first medal in 1992 Barcelona Olympics. So, GL HF to all Malaysian athletes there. Someone will be returning as millionaire ONLY IF you won a gold... xD

2. Malaysia Asian Olympics.... er... World Cyber Games Asian Championship

They just arrived yesterday after a tiring journey oversea (Oversea the Tambak Johor la...). Then, there comes the exciting part where good ol' Chapree and Moots fill in the spots for Guitar Hero 3 and Virtua Fighter 5. I bet that they are practising hard for it after being chosen as 'the lucky ones' to play for the championship.

At least they won't have a free ride.

Anyway guys, Good Luck Have Fun and make the Malaysian flag rise high to the top. If only I have the chance to represent Malaysia in any events....

Sounds too patriotic isn't it? xD
